Our standard ending is a loop secured with a rivet. (We will use matching rivets when available, usually on black, honey brown, cocoa brown and burgundy leathers otherwise we use brass plated steel rivets.) (Nickel rivets are available also for those of you that like a silver tone rivet instead of a gold tone one.)

Other ending options included in the base handle price could be a hole as used in Nantucket style purses or sew on endings. Sew on endings are usually done on braiding weight leathers. (Click for Sew-On Handle Details)

We also have custom endings available, including grommets, d-rings, rings, and buckles. These endings are priced according to the cost and availability of the hardware. Please call or email for additional costs.

In some special cases a loop is needed but you can't put the handle on until the basket is finished. Perhaps you are replacing broken reed handles with leather ones. In this case we can offer three suggestions...

1. We punch the holes and send you the rivets to set yourself for no additional cost.
2. We punch the holes and send you Chicago Screws to secure the ends with for $.50 an end. ($2.00 extra for a pair of handles or $1.00 for a single strap)
3. We set snaps into the ends of your handles for $.50 an end. ($2.00 extra for a pair of handles or $1.00 for a single strap)
